Cleaning Vacuum once a week at least. You should fluff up a long pile occasionaly with a special light weight rake ( obtainable at mostgood outlets ). |
Deep cleaning and shampooing Always use a neutral dry foam shampoo of good quality and follow instructions carefully. Vacuum throroughly before shampooing and brush the carpet the way the pile wants to go afterwards. Don't get the carpet too wet : you should distort the pile and backing. |
Spots and stains Immediate action is the key. To avoid spreading, always work inwards from the edge of the stain and don't rub too vigorously |
